A singer and songwriter for most of her life, Lu studied classical and jazz piano with the Toronto Conservatory of Music and Eastman School of Music, and taught piano for several years.

She is the composer and lyricist of the musical revue “Love Notes” which was staged to sold-out audiences in 1993.

Welcome Home, My Child features 9 original songs written by Lu, including a bonus track duet from “Love Notes.”

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this album will be donated to The Children’s Defense Fund's “Beat the Odds” Foundation.
